I bought the ROS65VC-6 6″ Random Orbit sander about a year ago and I love it. I removed the filter and hooked it up to my vacuum, and there is no dust at all. I don’t even have to wear a dust mask. The results I get with this tool are outstanding! I have owned other sanders and they don’t even come close. I highly recmend Bosch.

Great removal, great dust collection, maybe a little pricey but it’s definitely worth it. The suspension system works great. Love this thing.

Extremely pleased with the Bosch 6 inch orbital sander. Very limited vibration and plenty of power, love the variable speed. A bit more expensive than other models but very happy with the purchase and I plan on many years of usage. As with most things you definitely get what you pay for!

This is the best sander on the market. When coupled with a simple “shop” type vacuum, this sander is virtually dustless. Sanding pattern is great, power is great… I could go on.. The biggest feature of this sander is the vibration reduction. Using my old sander(s), after a day of sanding (I build furniture) my hands would be numb. I thought the anti-vibe stuff was a gimmick – it’s not.. I can sand for hours and hours with no ill effect. After about a month with this sander, I sold/donated my other RO sanders. This is all I use. Planning on picking up the 1/2 sheet version at some point soon.If it had a square pad as an option, that would be cool.

This thing is so well balanced and smooth running that hand and arm fatigue is no longer a factor for me. You just do not have to fight this sander. The spin damper allows me to simply turn it off and set it down without having to wait 30 seconds for it to stop. The most important feature for me is that the dust removal system actually works! A great ROS and worth every nickle.

I’ve owned several different brands of palm sanders, and this Bosch ROS65VC-6 is the best yet.

This is absolutely the best ROS I have ever used. It is quiet enough to talk over and the vibration is very low in comparison. Also, I really like the fact it is heavier (real metal) as it sands with not adding slight pressure. The method of having a canister filter is a good one as it is very easy to empty and go back to sanding. If I have a large area to sand I can switch form the 5″ pad to the 6″ pad. The ROS65VC is well worth the difference in price.

Just under 3 years of use when trigger lock quit working and bolt holding disk on machine sheared off and got stuck in sander. Free shipping to send it in for repair, but would have cost a lot to fix. Only a 1 year warranty.

Had the Bosch sander for over 2 weeks now and I’m loving every moment of it. I also bought the 5″ hook and loop disc so I can switch between 5″ and 6″ discs. The Bosch sander is amazing in every way! I love the variable speed control. the vibration reduction is a huge plus. Sander done right!

The sander is great. It is easy to use and leaves a smooth surface. The only negative is because of the orbital action, the attached filter keeps coming off the sander. I use a large rubber band to hold it on.

Impressed with the dust collection, especially with just the canister. Quite smooth to operate and its easy to change speeds while the trigger is locked on and the sander is running.

Vey nice sander—did just the job we needed to refinish two desktops!

I bought this sander based on the very positive reviews on various sites, and after testing another Bosch ROS from a friend, which I found to be too aggressive and difficult to control. The 65VEC-6 is very easy to control, even with just one hand, has almost no vibration, and the dust collection canister is amazingly effective. Many folks hook up their ROS directly to a vacuum; I don’t plan to do that with this sander. Best of all, the 65VEC-6 sands very thoroughly and uniformly, and I can’t see any swirl marks afterwards. The surface appears more uniform than what I can produce by hand, which seems remarkable compared to prior sanders. I really like this sander and highly recommend it for anyone looking for an easy to use ROS with excellent dust collection that also has almost no vibration. I don’t know what Bosch can do to improve on this one.

Unit does the job expected of it. Saves lots of time over hand sanding.

I got this sander because it had less vibration over the old sander ( an old PC orbit sander ). Besides the less vibration, it had a good sense of handling the sanding job. A very nice tool to use. It was a bit expensive, but it seems you have to spend more these days to get excellent tools.

Very nice tool which is truly vibration free (or only minimal vibration) and the dust collection system is absolutely superb – better than having a dedicated vacuum attachment to the too.You have to use the Bosch “6-hole” pads to take advantage of the superb dust collection capability – I could only find these at Amazon – of course Home Depot doesn’t carry them – instead offering some cheap alternative that doesn’t work nearly as well. Oh well – Amazon comes through (again).I would but this tool again – but please note that this thing is NOT a finish sander – to get that fine finish you are going to have to go to a pad sander. But if you want to do some 120 grit “knock down” sanding – this is a great tool – quick, powerful, vibration and dust free. The “Tiger Tank” of rotary sanders – blows all the others away ;-))

Hands down the best sander I’ve ever owned. Certainly on the higher end of prices but worth every penny.
