Coverage for 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut delivers a wider color space and more lifelike images, while AMD FreeSync synchronizes the display’s refresh rate to the frame rate of the graphics card to greatly reduce or eliminate stuttering, juddering, and tearing during gaming and video playback. A refresh rate of 144 Hz means that the display refreshes 144 times per second for smoother motion, while DisplayHDR 400 displays helps bring out details from dark and bright areas while maintaining overall image clarity.
BenQ’s EX2780Q also features a native resolution of 2560 x 1440, In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, 10-bit support for 1.07 billion colors, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 109 ppi, and a 5 ms (GtG) response time. Using the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. This display has two HDMI 2.0 inputs , one DisplayPort 1.4 input, and one USB Type-C port, which supports 10W of Power Delivery, plus DP alt mode and data transfers. Audio can be output using the dual 2W speakers and 5W subwoofer or the 3.5mm headphone jack. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the display features a vertical tilt of -5 to 20°.

It was a toss up between this monitor and the ASUS Tuff VG27AQ. I researched a lot of gaming monitors, took months of research. I weighed the pros and cons and this monitor came out the clear winner. RTings.com has the VG27AQ from ASUS on top of their list, but in my opinion, this one is not only equal, it’s better. Had a TN panel before this and the colors of an IPS panel are far superior.

Excellent monitor. Very minimal bleed at the edges. No true black, but for editing and normal daily tasks it does the job, colors are vibrant. Response time can be annoying occasionally when coming from hibernating computer. Sounds is better than most stand alone speakers. On screen configuration options let’s you optimize settings. The remote is a nice bonus.

In our research we came across the BenQ EX2780Q 27 monitor. We are now in our third week of work and the new monitor is absolutely amazing. Having the larger screen and higher refresh rate with the enhanced color features and Eye Care has really made a big difference in our ability to see old and new photos with a higher resolution and brilliant color rendition. This monitor works well with Lightroom and the Adobe software. We are seeing clarity and color we didn’t even think was possible on a 2560 X 1440 monitor. We are very pleased with the high quality of this monitor and how it is meeting our photo editing needs. I would recommend this monitor.
