I had to have a cord long enough to reach a bench in the center of a lab that doesn’t have a ceiling power-drop, and 25′ was pretty much minimum for that. Seven outlets were enough for what the bench requires, but after I’d gotten everything routed and fastened down I was a little disgusted to find that one of the outlets has some kind of internal misalignment which makes plugging anything into it impossible. So down to 6 outlets from 7. Sending it back would cost more than buying a new one, and opening it up to do repairs would void the UL rating and shouldn’t be necessary anyway. It’s 2022, and power outlets are pretty mature technology.
