The Acer Aspire TC391 UR11 is a fast budget computer. I ran the UserBenchmark test and the results stated, “with a brilliant single core score, this CPU is the business: It demolishes everyday tasks such as web browsing, office apps and audio/video playback. Additionally this processor can handle light workstation, and even some light server workloads. Finally, with a gaming score of 79.9%, this CPU’s suitability for 3D gaming is good.” (However the Graphics Processor Unit (GPU) score UserBenchmark indicated that 3D gaming could be limited.) UserBenchmark also noted that the Solid State Drive (SSD) has an “exceptional SSD score. This drive is suitable for heavy workstation use, it will facilitate fast boots, responsive applications and allow for fast transfers of multi-gigabyte files.” PC Magazine has recommended several Acer PCs in its budget computer articles and gave at least one of the Acer Aspire PCs an Editor’s Choice award. As of June 2021 Acer had not published the specs for the Aspire UR11, but here are the specs from the box plus some system info apps: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 4300G 4 cores with 8 threads, 3.8GHz (4.0 GHz boost), 7mm; Radeon on-board graphics Graphics: AMD RX Vega 6 with 6 GPU cores running at 1700 MHz; 4K video; PCIe 4.0 Memory: 8 GB DDR4-3200 (Acer told me the max is 64GB; there are 3 empty slots) Motherboard: Acer Aspire TC391 Hard Drive: Kingston 512 GB Solid State Drive (SSD) (see comment below) Optical Drive: DVD Rewritable drive Video output: One HDMI; one VGA port USB Ports: Two USB 2 ports; Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (2 front, 2 back); Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (back). (No USB-C port) Micro SD card slot (up to 128GB) Network: LAN port, Wifi 802.11ac/802.11a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth Acer mouse and (chicklet style) keyboard included Operating system: Windows 10 Home Software: 30 day trials of Office 365 and Norton Power Supply: Non- standard Case: 14″H x 6″W x 13.2″D Performance: Boot up time to the Windows login screen is about 15 seconds. Performance on everyday tasks has been great with the combination of the latest generation Ryzen CPU and the Kingston SSD. If your interest is gaming, the Ryzen 3 4300G is used in some “sub $500 gaming PCs.” Check out the Youtube videos for gaming with the 4300G. Issues: The SSD drive has several partitions, including a 237 GB C: partition (with 200 GB free) and a 237 GB D: partition. When I copied all of my documents, music, pictures, and videos to the user folders the C: drive was full. Unfortunately Acer placed a 1 GB recovery partition between the C: and D: partitions which makes it harder to change the C: and D: partition sizes. I suggested to Acer that they remove the partition between the C: and D: partitions. Also if you are using multiple monitors you may want to look elsewhere because of the single HDMI port.
